In conjunction with the annual “Dilla Month” celebrating the life of the legendary James Yancey aka Jay Dee aka J Dilla, there will be special tribute tees from Stones Throw records. First release will be by none other than our long time favorite Parra from Rockwell. These are tribute tees to the person who was responsible for this greatness, his mother Maureen Yancey aka Ma Dukes. If you are familiar with the “complexity” of The Dilla Estate especially related to Ma Dukes, you will further understand why this is for her. Ma Dukes suffers from Lupus as well which is what Dilla passed away from and she cannot afford to pay her medical bills, medicine, and rent. Proceeds from the tees will be donated directly to Ma Dukes and all artists have contributed designs for free. Buying a tee is a little help but please read more and give any help if you can.
